Rockford, IL (January 17, 2020)According to eye-witnesses and sources on the ground there was a potentially fatal hit-and-run on the east side of Rockford on Friday. A woman was hit by a vehicle on East State Street next to the EZ Pawn.

Witnesses explain that the woman was laying on the roadway after the crash and was not moving. An ambulance and the Rockford Police Department were called to the scene. No description of the vehicle that was involved in the crash has been released as of yet.

No further details are known.
