Rockford, IL (February 04, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit by a car on the east side around 6:00 p.m. The incident took place near the 3100 block of 11th street according to sources. Witnesses indicated the pedestrian suffered facial injuries and was also bleeding significantly.

Luckily, the vehicle who collided with the pedestrian stayed on the scene. The Rockford Police Department and emergency services personnel rushed to the scene. It is believed the injured pedestrian was transported to the hospital but this has not been confirmed.

The RPD is still investigating the details that lead up to the accident.
