After the pedestrian was hit by the Jeep, the driver of the vehicle sped away without stopping to check on the victim.
Moments after the incident, the vehicle was last seen heading southbound on 10th Street.
Police have released a description of the suspected hit and run driver. They described the suspect as a black male, 35 years old, with dreadlocks and wearing a black jacket.
At this time, we do not know the current condition of the injured pedestrian.
