Rockford, IL (December 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Friday night around 6:45 p.m. near West State Street and North Johnston Avenue.

The pedestrian sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The Rockford Police Department and Rockford paramedics were on the scene to assess the damages and provide aid to the victim. It is unclear at this time how severe the injuries were or if transportation to the hospital was needed.

The RPD has not provided any further information on the driver or on the vehicle that hit the pedestrian. They are continuing to investigate the details of the crash.

As more information becomes clear it will be provided. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
