Rockford, IL (December 13, 2019) – Sources are reporting that a pedestrian was hit by an automobile on Friday evening around 7:30 p.m. According to the reports the incident took place at 11th Street and 6th Avenue.

The driver fled the scene, but a description of the vehicle was released and the Rockford Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout. The vehicle was said to be silver and has some front impact damage that is visible.

The severity of the pedestrian’s injuries is unknown and their identity has yet to be released. The RPD continues to investigate the details of the accident.
