Rockford, IL (December 28, 2019) – A multi-car accident that took place on Friday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. resulted in many injuries. The accident occurred at Alpine Road and Newburg Road.

The Rockford Police Department and more than one ambulance were at the scene. Several victims were taken to the hospital to obtain treatment for their injuries. It is unclear how severe the injuries were and an exact victim count was not officially released.

Authorities have not released details related to the cause of the accident.
