The Rockford Police Department was on the scene and it was reported that 4 vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles rolled over. It is unknown if the icy roads were one of the factors that lead to the crash.
The severity of the injuries and the number of injured parties was not released. The accident is under investigation by the RPD. The authorities have asked the public to avoid the area.
