The major incident with injuries took place between a minivan and a car. All lanes were shut down in both directions as a result. The incident happened close to the Rockford Fire Department that’s located on West State Street. Injuries were reported but at this time we do not know how severe the injuries were.
The Rockford Police Department asked that the area of the 3400 block of West State Street, where the accident occurred be avoided by other drivers.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. The RPD is investigating the incident.
