Rockford, IL (January 31, 2020) – According to reports a serious accident took place around 1:00 p.m. on Friday in Rockford. The accident was located at the 4800 block of Auburn Street.

The Rockford Police Department, as well as Rockford Fire and Rescue, were on the scene to provide aid to the injured parties. At least one person required extrication from their vehicle. There were many injuries reported as a result of the crash. It has not been confirmed if any of the injuries were life-threatening.

Authorities told the public to avoid the area and they blocked off the scene. The RPD is still investigating what caused the crash.
