There were confirmed reports of injuries as a result of the crash. Emergency personnel including the Rockford Police Department came to the scene to assess the damages and provide medical aid to the injured parties. The identities of those who sustained injuries and the severity of the damages has not been released by police. There was at least one ambulance called to the scene but it was not confirmed if any of the victims required transportation to the local hospital.
It is unknown what caused the crash.
