The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon and was located at Charles Street and South Mulford Road. The incident was north of the intersection and took place in the southbound lanes.
Many units from both the Cherry Valley Fire Department and Police Department as well as the Rockford Fire Department and the Police Department rushed to the scene. This is because the accident happened on the border between both jurisdictions. Paramedics were also on scene to assist the injured parties.
There were delays in traffic in the area as a result of the crash. The factors which lead to the accident are unknown at this time. The police are still investigating.
