Rockford, IL (April 24, 2020) – A car accident involving a bicyclist took place in the evening around 6:00 p.m. in Rockford. The incident was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Lapey Street and Sawyer Road. According to reports, a vehicle hit a bicyclist. The bicyclist was injured as a result of the crash but the severity of their injuries was not reported.

The Rockford Police Department and Rockford Fire and Rescue were on the scene. It is believed that the driver stayed at the scene until the authorities arrived.

The RPD is investigating.
