Rockford, IL (January 28, 2020) – A serious crash between two vehicles and a semi took place around 3:30 p.m. near Bus-20 and the city town hall. There were injuries but the severity of the injuries has not been released.

A black passenger sedan was located in a ditch off the side of the road with extensive damage sustained. A tan passenger sedan was in the middle of the road with significant front end damage. The semi involved in the accident had minor damages and was off to the side of the road.

The Rockford Police Department and the Rockford Fire and Rescue were on there to block off the accident scene and help with the cleanup. Emergency medical personnel were providing aid to the injured parties. The number and severity of the injuries have not yet been released.

The authorities told the public to avoid the area. The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
