Daniel L. DeRose Jr., 24, of Belvidere, was on a ladder on top of a moving tractor at approximately 1:00 a.m. He slipped off the ladder and was consequently run over by the rear tire of the tractor.
The local deputies and multiple medical personnel came to the scene of the accident. The medical professionals attempted life-saving measures in an effort to save DeRose’s life. Unfortunately, his injuries were too severe and he died at the scene.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department conducted an autopsy on the young man on Wednesday. The information from the examiner’s department was released on Thursday, November 7.
The details around the death remain under investigation by the medical examiner’s department and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
