Madison, WI (March 9, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and injured after being struck by a vehicle in Dane County on Monday night. Dispatch confirmed that the accident took place around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of University Avenue and Rosa Road near Hilldale Mall.

The Madison Police Department and Madison Fire and Rescue were called to the scene to assist the injured pedestrian. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The severity of the victim’s injuries is currently unknown.

After the authorities arrived on the scene, traffic was diverted from the area. By 8:00 p.m. the lanes were reopened to the public.
