The roll-over crash which occurred on highway 12 between Monona Drive and South Towne Drive. Reports indicate that one person lost their life in this crash while others were very seriously injured.
The authorities said that there were three occupants in a 2004 Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo cut in front of another vehicle and then drove into a ditch.
The death was confirmed at the scene. Another individual was ejected from the vehicle and is in critical condition with serious injuries.
The names of the parties involved have not been released. The accident caused a blockage to most of the lanes of Beltline, but by 5:00 p.m. they were all reopened.
The police are still investigating the cause of the crash and are asking the public for any witnesses to the accident to call the Monona Police Department at (608) 222-0463.
