Madison, WI (January 4, 2020) – Authorities reported a serious multi-vehicle crash on Saturday morning at around 6:40 a.m. The incident took place on the westbound Beltline at Old Sauk Road. The crash closed down the two right lanes of the westbound Beltline for over three hours.

According to authorities, there were two injured victims that needed transportation to the hospital. One of the vehicles that were a part of the crash had rolled over and the driver of that car needed to be extricated. The driver of the car that rolled over was reported to have sustained serious injuries.

The other victim was an occupant of another vehicle in the crash and was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The details pertaining to the cause of the crash have not been released. The police are still investigating.
