The incident took place on Rosenberry Road. When officials arrived at the scene, they found that a car collided into a tree head-on. A 16-year-old driver required extrication from the vehicle and there was also a 14-year-old passenger who suffered major facial injuries, and a 21-year-old passenger was found two blocks from the crash with broken legs.
The 16-year-old was unconscious and suffered serious injuries. Officials who responded to the crash believe that there may also be a fourth passenger who was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. All of those who were found at the scene of the crash were transported to the local hospital for treatment.
Fitchrona EMS and the Fitchburg Fire, as well as the Madison Fire Department, helped with the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol along with the local police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
