Rockford, IL (February 12, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in a parking lot near Chrysler Drive on Tuesday night.

Witnesses indicate the injured pedestrian was a female and the collision took place after 11:00 p.m. The Rockford Police Department said the accident was at the 3000 block of West Chrysler Drive and specifically at the northeastern area of the parking lot. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported via ambulance to a local area hospital. The type of injuries and their severity is unknown.

The Rockford Police Department is still investigating the details which lead to the accident.
