Westport, WI (February 08, 2020) – A drunk driving accident took place on Friday night around 11:00 p.m. A drunk Waunakee man was driving on State Highway 113 right outside of Madison when he crashed into a vehicle carrying a family of four.

The family was traveling on County Highway H when they turned onto State Highway 113. They were then struck by the drunk driver, identified as Kevin Abbott-Strittmatter, Jr.

The family of four all sustained injuries and required ambulance transportation to the hospital for treatment. Abbott-Strittmatter, Jr. was also transported to the hospital sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

After treatment, Abbott-Strittmatter, Jr. was arrested for OWI causing injury Abbott-Strittmatter, Jr. and booked into Dane County Jail. He was also cited for failure to stop at a stoplight, driving without insurance, and having open intoxicants in the vehicle when the police arrived.
